hey man here is the one and only reason to ride brakeless if u dont know untill u have: (from a bike check with allen cooke) How long ago did you take your brakes off and how has it been treating you? I think I took them off in November of ‘08. I love it man, it’s the best. It shouldn’t be any different than riding a bike with brakes and not using them but it is—it can’t be explained. Get a 5mm Allen and some cable cutters; you will not be bummed.

Yeah, it was a pretty bad break. I was out for quite a few months. I have 6 screws and a plate in my bone. It happened almost 3 years ago, so it doesn't bother me too much.
